5th grade

Students began by watching a video teaching them how to fold a SOARing origami creature.  Check out their creations in our windowsill.

They also wrote a paragraph explaining how to build the best sandwich.  

Each student chose a particular task to present.  Their “How-to…” brochure included the following:  table of contents, materials list, an instructional paragraph using transition words, a list of steps, a mini research report on the background, and photos.  

As a culminating activity, each student shared a “How-to..” presentation with the class. Click below to watch the video of each presentation.
